Programmes they run
Standing programmes at AspireLabs, separate from the funding calls above.
AspireLabs runs cohorts rather than a permanent open door, and nothing is accepting applications at the moment. FINILOOP Plastic Lab and CleanEdge both state that applications are closed, EcoVision's apply button is not connected to anything, and Reimagine Plastic publishes no entry route. The co-working space is the one thing you can book today. Ask at info@aspirelabs.com before planning around a cohort.

How to apply: applications are closed. Ask about the next intake at info@aspirelabs.com.
CleanEdge

What you get, who can apply and how to applyHide details
CleanEdge was AspireLabs' clean-technology accelerator, run in Delhi-NCR from February to May 2019 with Shriram Institute for Industrial Research and its technology business incubator, and with Polyplex Corporation Limited. The Department of Science & Technology supported the programme. It is closed and no repeat has been announced, but it is the programme AspireLabs has documented most fully, so it is the best guide to how it selects and what it offers.
What you get
- Four months of intensive mentoring from startup experts, functional strategy experts and sector specialists.
- Access to lab, prototyping, plastic processing and specialty chemicals facilities at Shriram Institute's incubator in North Delhi.
- Co-working at AspireLabs in Noida.
- The chance to pitch for investment, and introductions to impact investors and potential customers.
- Support after the programme ends.
Who can apply
- Startups in clean technology, read broadly: circular economy, waste management, recycling and up-cycling, plastic and rubber, clean water and clean air, renewables, 3D printing, smart city solutions, environment sustainability.
- Either a working minimum viable product, or an early-stage company with some customer traction, validation and revenue.
- A direct or indirect impact across social, financial and environmental measures.
- You could be based anywhere; there was no requirement to move to Delhi-NCR.
How selection works: applications were reviewed within twenty days. Shortlisted teams had a telephone conversation with the review team, and teams that did not progress were given a reason. Those who went through presented in person or by video to a selection committee, were offered a term sheet, and joined after basic due diligence.
How to apply: closed. Fifteen places were planned and sixteen startups are listed in the batch.
EcoVision
IncubationA two-phase incubation and acceleration programme for sustainability and circular-economy startups, with a stated focus on women and underserved founders.
Best for: Sustainability and circular-economy startups, with a focus on women and underserved founders
- Two phases; no length published
What you get, who can apply and how to applyHide details
EcoVision is the newest programme on AspireLabs' site. It runs in two phases: incubation and validation first, then a period of acceleration shaped around the individual founder. The page names circular economy principles, close handholding, industry access, and a focus on women and underserved founders as what sets it apart, and it lists twelve mentors and industry people attached to it.
What you get
- Phase one: selection, refining your business model, circular economy workshops and support with market validation.
- Phase two: one-to-one founder support, industry partnerships, leadership mentoring and help getting investor-ready.
Who can apply: sustainability and circular-economy startups. AspireLabs has not published detailed eligibility, a cohort size, a length or dates for this programme.
How to apply: there is no working route in. The page shows an "Apply Now" button, but it is not connected to a form or an address. Ask at info@aspirelabs.com whether an intake is planned.
Reimagine Plastic
CompetitionAn open innovation challenge on post-consumer multi-layer plastic packaging waste, with three problem tracks.
Best for: Designers, engineers, scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs working on multi-layer plastic
What you get, who can apply and how to applyHide details
Reimagine Plastic is an open innovation challenge aimed at multi-layer plastic, the hard-to-recycle packaging material. It invites designers, engineers, scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs to work on it using circular economy and design thinking principles, and it is also described on AspireLabs' team page as a separate initiative founded by Ranjit Singh.
The three challenges
- Collection: how to improve the models and processes for collecting multi-layer plastic.
- Granules: how to design and make products out of multi-layer plastic granules.
- Material recovery: how to recover higher quality, purer material from multi-layer plastic at scale using new technologies.
How to apply: no entry route, deadline, eligibility or prize terms are published. Treat it as a statement of what AspireLabs is interested in, and ask at info@aspirelabs.com before planning around it.
Incubation tracks
AspireLabs runs a virtual track, so you can join without relocating.
Both tracks are currently closed. Neither requires you to move to Noida, though FINILOOP Plastic Lab asks that your work benefit Jaipur.

How to apply to AspireLabs
Work out which programme you want
AspireLabs runs one thing at a time rather than a permanent menu, so start by matching your company to a programme rather than to the organisation.
- Plastic waste management, with work on the ground in Jaipur: FINILOOP Plastic Lab.
- Broader clean technology, with a product already built: the CleanEdge shape, if it runs again.
- Sustainability or circular economy, earlier and less defined: EcoVision.
- An idea for multi-layer plastic packaging rather than a company: Reimagine Plastic.
- Just somewhere to work in Noida: the co-working space, which is bookable now.
Check first whether anything is open
Every published application route on the site is currently shut or unfinished. Before you spend time on a pitch, email the address on the contact page and ask whether the next cohort has a date. The programme pages are not reliably updated when a cohort closes, so treat a live-looking page as an invitation to ask, not as an open call.
What reviewers looked for
FINILOOP Plastic Lab judges on four things: problem-solution fit, potential environmental and social impact, the team, and whether the business is viable. Make each one easy to find in your deck rather than leaving a reader to infer it.
For clean technology, AspireLabs asked for evidence rather than intent. That means a working product or early customers, not a concept, and a clear statement of the social, financial and environmental effect of the business. Its programmes are built around waste, plastics and the circular economy, so a generic sustainability angle is weaker than a specific one.
Be ready for a staged process
Expect a written application, then a phone conversation, then a presentation to a committee, then paperwork and diligence before you start. Plan for several weeks between applying and hearing a decision. The programmes are run with partners, so be prepared for questions from people outside AspireLabs too.
Practical points
- You are not asked to move. Programmes have run as periodic contact sessions rather than a full-time residency, and participants get access to the Noida office during the programme.
- Location can still matter to eligibility. FINILOOP Plastic Lab asks that your work benefit Jaipur specifically, wherever your company sits.
- Ask about cost and equity before you commit. CleanEdge charged selected startups a refundable-style participation deposit, said it would consider waiving that for a share of the intake, and stated plainly that it did not take equity. Confirm the current position for whichever programme you join.
- If you are a woman founder, ask about the co-working discount, and note that EcoVision states a focus on women and underserved founders.
About AspireLabs
AspireLabs is a sustainability-focused accelerator, incubator and co-working space at B-37, Sector 1, Noida, in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh. It backs startups working on waste management, the circular economy and clean technology, and it runs its programmes with industry and development-sector partners rather than on its own. It was founded by Ranjit Singh, who was Global COO and a board member at Polyplex Corporation Limited and before that Managing Director at Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited.
What AspireLabs runs
Four programmes are described on its site, and they are not all at the same stage of life. FINILOOP Plastic Lab is a 14-month incubation and mentorship programme for early-stage, technology-driven startups in plastic waste management, aimed at helping Jaipur become a plastic-waste-free city. It is supported by the IKEA Foundation and run with WASTE in the Netherlands and Trust of People in India, and it sits inside a wider city-level waste model called FINILOOP, short for Financial Inclusion and Improved Livelihoods Out of Plastics.
CleanEdge was a four-month clean-technology accelerator in Delhi-NCR, run with Shriram Institute for Industrial Research and its technology business incubator, and with Polyplex. It ran from February to May 2019 and is closed.
EcoVision is a newer two-phase programme for sustainability and circular-economy startups: a first phase of incubation and validation, then a second phase of one-to-one acceleration. Its page names a focus on women and underserved founders. Reimagine Plastic is an open innovation challenge on post-consumer multi-layer plastic packaging, with three named tracks covering collection, turning recycled granules into products, and recovering purer material at scale.
Whether you can apply right now
You cannot, on the evidence of its own pages. Both programmes with published question-and-answer pages state that applications are closed, the EcoVision page carries an "Apply Now" control that is not wired to anything, and Reimagine Plastic publishes no dates, eligibility or entry route at all. The one thing you can book today is a desk. If you want to be told when a cohort opens, write to the address on the contact page and ask.
Who can apply when a cohort is open
FINILOOP Plastic Lab wants startups working in plastic waste management anywhere in India, provided they have set up operations in Jaipur and contribute to making the city plastic-waste free. You do not have to relocate to Noida for it.
CleanEdge asked for startups in clean technology, broadly read: circular economy, waste management, recycling and up-cycling, plastic and rubber, clean water and clean air, renewables, 3D printing, smart city solutions and environment sustainability. It wanted either a working minimum viable product, or an early-stage company with some customer traction, validation and revenue, and it asked that the business have a direct or indirect impact across social, financial and environmental measures. Applicants could be based anywhere in India.
How selection worked
CleanEdge published the fullest account. Applications were reviewed within twenty days. Shortlisted teams were invited to a telephone conversation with the review team, with feedback promised to those who did not progress. Survivors presented in person or by video to a selection committee, after which selected teams were offered a term sheet, then went through basic due diligence before joining. FINILOOP Plastic Lab uses two rounds of evaluation and judges startups on problem-solution fit, potential environmental and social impact, team, and business viability.
Facilities and co-working
AspireLabs sells desks in Noida on monthly plans, with a two-day free trial, a discount for women founders and a month free on a twelve-month booking. The space has brainstorming rooms, phone booths and breakout areas, and the plan includes high-speed internet, lockers, parking, printing, whiteboards, tea and coffee, biometric attendance, a telephone booth, a library and community meetups. Meeting and event space for up to twenty-five or up to forty-five people can be booked in half-day weekend slots with projection and conferencing equipment. During CleanEdge, participants also had access to lab, prototyping, plastic processing and specialty chemicals facilities at Shriram Institute's incubator in North Delhi; that access belonged to that programme, not to AspireLabs.
Who runs it
Ranjit Singh is the founder. Abhinav Ramaria heads programmes and operations, covering acceleration and incubation, life cycle assessment studies, plastic recycling policy research and deal evaluation. The team also includes an incubation programme associate, an admin lead for the co-working space and an accounts executive. Twelve mentors are named on the EcoVision page.
Getting there
The office is at B-37, Block B, Sector 1, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201301, a short distance from Delhi. The site offers a "Schedule a visit" booking if you want to see the space before committing.
