About Pre-Incubation
Pre-incubation is the centre's entry point for a group or team that has an idea worth turning into a venture but has not registered a company yet. The idea can be at the earliest stage or partway to a proof of concept. The period is one year.
Who can apply
- Teams from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University
- Teams from other universities
- Separate entities with a valid business idea and no university link
- No incorporation is required at this stage
How to apply: fill the startup registration form on the centre's site. The form accepts applicants who describe themselves as an individual, a student, a startup, a farmer or a professional, and accepts "not registered" as a legal status. A service fee applies; the schedule is not published, so ask for it. The specific benefits of pre-incubation are set out in an annexure to the incubation policy that the centre does not publish either — ask for that too.
