About IEDC FMNC — Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell
IEDC FMNC is the college's innovation and entrepreneurship cell, run by faculty nodal officers and by students. It is a standing campus body rather than a dated programme: you register once and take part for as long as you are at the college.
What you get
- Ideathons, bootcamps, innovation challenges and design sprints through the academic year.
- Mentoring from the faculty nodal officers, who come from commerce, science, computing and humanities departments.
- A campus entrepreneur corner and named student leadership roles you can take on.
- Access to IdeaBox, the cell's members-only idea board, where you can post an idea, back others with Sparks and chat to teams. Submissions open in rounds and were closed when this page was checked.
Who can apply
- Current Fatima Mata National College undergraduates only. The registration form's course field is a closed list of 20 FMNC UG programmes and the semester field runs from 1 to 6.
- Any stream. The cell states there is no branch restriction and names non-computer-science students as a group it wants.
- Existing members, who are invited to take bigger roles and mentor the new batch.
- No experience and no idea required.
How selection works: There is none. Registration is open to students of all years and everyone who registers is in. Competition happens later, inside the events — EPHPHATHA 1.0 and the Beat the Bot Challenge both named prize winners, all of them first- and second-year students.
How to apply: Fill the registration form on the cell's own site with your name, FMNC programme, current semester, personal email and WhatsApp number. Use an address and number you watch, because the same pair signs you in to IdeaBox. Questions go to the cell's inbox at iedc@fmnc.ac.in, or to its office on the ground floor of the Golden Jubilee Block.
