About J&K Industrial Policy 2021-30 incentive package

The J&K Industrial Policy 2021-30 was notified on 19 April 2021. Each item in its package is a reimbursement or subsidy claimed after the spending, not an up-front grant.

What you get

  • A subsidy on a single new generator set, paid after installation is verified
  • A subsidy on the cost of quality certificates, with the cost certified by a chartered accountant
  • A subsidy on automation through computers, IT and online pollution-control devices
  • A subsidy on new pollution-control devices
  • A subsidy on rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling, zero-discharge process and solid waste management equipment
  • An exemption from stamp duty on land transactions in government industrial estates, including the lease deed and mortgage deed, and from court fee for registering land documents, for new units and units undertaking substantial expansion
  • For existing units registered under GST in the Union Territory on or before 31 March 2021 only: a turnover incentive for five years, at a higher rate for micro units than for small, medium and large units, and a full net SGST reimbursement for ten years from 1 April 2021

Who can apply

  • Industrial units in Jammu & Kashmir: new units, existing units, and existing units undertaking substantial expansion
  • Automation and pollution-control support is not available for spending already claimed under the capital investment incentive or a similar central or J&K scheme

How selection works: Smaller claims are sanctioned and disbursed by the concerned General Manager. Larger claims go to divisional-level committees of the directorates, and the largest to higher committees.

How to apply: Register on the J&K Single Window portal and use the Know Your Incentive tool to see which items apply and to find the service to apply for.
