About Incubation
This is the incubator's core offer: a structured programme, described as running twenty-four months, for startups with a working prototype or MVP. The incubator elsewhere says its goal is to see a business graduate in two to three years. There is no published deadline — the application form is open on the site and intake is rolling.
What you get
- A furnished desk in the incubator's own space, with conference and meeting rooms and internet, charged monthly per desk with a returnable security deposit
- Electricity, internet and utilities included within fair-use limits
- Access to JNTUH's labs, library resources and student talent pool
- Seed support on a case-by-case basis, plus introductions to venture funds, angel investors, family offices and ultra-HNI groups
- Business plan help and mentoring, and technical mentoring from academia and industry
- Access to legal, financial, accounting, HR and IP professionals
- Showcasing and networking events with investors and industry
- Training programmes, seminars and certification courses
Who can apply
- An individual or a registered company, with a technology-based product or idea
- Preference goes to intellectual-property-based companies, to proposals with clear market or user validation, to proposals that will use the incubator's and the university's resources, and to proposals with high growth potential or social and strategic impact
- If you are not incorporated, you must register a company within three months of approval
- Faculty members need permission from their institution's offices; students need permission from their faculty guide or head of department, and may need a letter from a guardian
How selection works: applications are screened, then reviewed at two levels. Shortlisted applicants pitch to the incubator's team and senior members, online or in person. The business plan then goes to at least two external experts — domain specialists, investors, industry people or likely users — who give feedback and recommendations. A selection committee makes the final decision, which the incubator states is final and comes with no obligation to give reasons. Selected teams sign incubation agreements and report progress quarterly.
How to apply: use the incubation application form linked from the Join Us menu on the incubator's site, or from the Apply Now button in the header. You will need to be signed in to a Google account to open it. Questions go to hello@jntuhtbi.in.
