NIDHI Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) fellowship

The Entrepreneur-in-Residence fellowship is for someone who has an idea and the qualifications to chase it, but not yet a company. TBI@KEC's third call closed in May 2024.

What you get

• A monthly subsistence grant for twelve months.
• Office space, administrative support and a co-working seat to develop the idea into a marketable product.
• Guidance from experienced entrepreneurs on the concept, strategy and the specific market.
• Mentoring, and connections to seed funding, angels and venture investors.

Who can apply

• Graduates in science or engineering with at least four years of full-time undergraduate or postgraduate education, or a three-year degree or diploma plus two years of full-time work experience.
• You must pursue the venture full time — the fellowship cannot run alongside any other pay or fellowship.
• Preference goes to first-generation entrepreneurs with a hardware or software product idea.
• You must register for physical pre-incubation or incubation at the host for the whole period, and support stops from the day your venture receives its first tranche of outside investment.

How selection works: screening takes up to five weeks from the close of the call and weighs innovation, commercialisation and startup-creation potential, and the applicant's own capability and commitment. Only selected candidates are emailed; the screening committee's decision is final.

How to apply: download the eligibility guidelines, application form, one-page summary and presentation from the programme page, and submit them with a filled form, an idea presentation carrying timeline and deliverables, a resume, proof of citizenship, qualification certificates, a relieving certificate if applicable, a recent photograph and proof of age and address.
