About Incubation
The second tier is for startups that already have a working product and want to grow it. The centre asks for a commitment of at least twelve months and for the venture to be registered as a private limited company.
What you get
- Seed grant support for selected startups and introductions to angel investor networks
- Chances to show the product to industry buyers
- A dedicated cabin, conference rooms and lab access
- Mentoring on business strategy, financial planning and scaling
- Help filing patents, copyrights and trademarks
- Introductions through the centre's partner network
Who can apply
- Teams with a scalable idea that solves a real problem
- Registered, or willing to register, as a private limited company
- Able to commit at least twelve months to the programme
- No restriction to students or staff of the college is stated
How selection works: the centre reviews your business plan and prototype, you pitch to its investment committee, and selected teams sign an agreement before being allocated space and mentors. The pages describe that final document in two different ways, one as an incubation agreement with equity structuring where applicable and one as a memorandum of understanding, so ask which one you will be signing.
How to apply: there is no working form or portal. Write to incubationmanager@kongunadu.ac.in or call the centre for the current intake.
