About PMFME – Group investment and common infrastructure for FPOs, SHGs and cooperatives
This part of PMFME supports clusters and groups such as farmer producer organisations, SHGs and producer cooperatives along the value chain: sorting, grading, assaying, storage, common processing, packaging, marketing, processing of agri-produce and testing laboratories. Its own guidelines cover 2020-21 to 2024-25, and press reports in 2026 said the scheme was extended temporarily to 30 September 2026, with a longer continuation only proposed. The ministry's pages do not confirm whether it is taking applications today, so check with your State Nodal Agency or the PMFME portal before you start.
What you get

- Assistance with the cost of preparing the detailed project report
Who can apply

How selection works: The proposal goes to a state-level approval committee. After it approves, the State Nodal Agency recommends the proposal to the ministry. The bank then sanctions the loan.
