About Institution's Innovation Council
The college runs an Institution's Innovation Council registered under the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell and AICTE, which it describes as 3.5 star rated. Its published calendar for 2024-25 runs across four quarters and is organised by academic departments: workshops on design thinking, business model canvas, prototype design, problem-solution and product-market fit, raising capital and managing finance, and intellectual property for startups, alongside internal hackathons, idea competitions, business-plan competitions and demo days with mentorship linkage.
An Entrepreneurship Development Cell sits alongside it, running entrepreneurship awareness camps and entrepreneurship, faculty and skill development programmes, and stating that it assists with product and service identification, market survey and preparation of project reports. A student-run E-Cell operates on its own site.
Who can apply
- This is internal. The council's stated mission is promoting creativity and innovation among the college's own students, alumni and faculty, and every activity in its calendar is departmental.
- Outside founders are not invited to any of it. If you are not enrolled at or employed by the college, the MSME Host Institute route above is the relevant one.
It is listed here so that a founder reading the college's innovation pages can tell which activity is a real door and which is a campus programme.
