About NCA
NCA VC is run by Next Commerce Accelerator GmbH from Hamburg, Germany. It connected B2B startups with corporate partners for venture-client pilots and investment. Its website says it invested in 77 B2B startups from 2017 to 2025. Its imprint says it is not currently making any new startup investments.
How the programme worked
The acceleration programme ran for six months, with remote support included alongside the investment. The site describes coaching on product-market fit, sales and tech decisions, a network of mentors, tailored workshops and fundraising support. Startups received cash as well as expertise, and the site says the option depended on the stage a startup had reached. Support continued after the six months through an alumni network.
The site says 75% of portfolio companies received follow-on funding within six months. These figures are NCA's own.
Sectors
The site lists B2B SaaS, AI, data and automation, trade and commerce, logistics, construction and circularity.
What corporates got
NCA worked with more than 25 corporate investors, which it calls corporate LPs. It described venture-client pilots, scouting and screening of startups, startup speed-dating sessions with corporate partners, roadshows, and a Demo Day. Its corporate pages say it runs pilots from problem framing through to scale.
Who can apply
The site does not state a country restriction for startups. The body is based in Hamburg and works with German corporate partners. No application route is open at the time of this check, because the imprint says NCA is not currently making any new startup investments.
Who runs it
Christoph Schepan and Thorsten Wittmütz are the managing partners, as the team page lists them.
Where it is
The registered address is c/o Spaces Kallmorgen Tower, Willy-Brandt-Straße 23, 20457 Hamburg, Germany.
Conflicting signals
The website gives mixed signals about whether NCA is still investing. The home page describes investing in the past tense, 'From 2017 to 2025'. The For Startups page still says support is 'included with our investment'. The imprint states plainly that NCA is not currently making any new startup investments. Check the imprint before relying on any other page.
