About Incubation
Incubation is riidl's core offer and the door most founders should use. There is no cohort window — the application form is open, and riidl says to check your email a few minutes after submitting for next steps.
What you get
- Expert-led workshops and one-to-one mentoring
- Round-the-clock access to workspace, high-speed WiFi, meeting rooms and lockers
- Access to riidl's fabrication, media, AI/ML, AR/VR and bio labs
- Legal and IP help, and cloud credits
- In-house expertise in IT, electronics, microbiology, marketing and business development
- Introductions to angel investors and VCs through riidl's partnerships, and a route into the government and corporate funding programmes it runs
Who can apply
- Startups registered as a Private Limited company. Any other legal structure, or no registration yet, is routed to pre-incubation instead
- Founders from outside the university as well as current Somaiya students, alumni and faculty — the form asks which you are and accepts both
- Teams at any stage from idea through pre-Series A and above
How to apply: Fill the Application for Pre-incubation / Incubation on riidl's site. It asks for your startup name, legal status, stage, industries, Somaiya affiliation and a pitch deck. Questions can go to riidl@somaiya.edu.
riidl does not publish a tenure, a fee or an equity term for incubation, so ask for those in writing before you commit.
