About GENESIS Pilot Funding

The pilot component of MeitY's GENESIS scheme exists to get a market-ready product from a working prototype to a real deployment, by funding a pilot with a large customer. Registration shows as closed at the moment.

What you get

  • Funding support for the pilot
  • Expert and business mentoring
  • Access to infrastructure at IIT Kanpur through the scheme, not at the incubator itself
  • Industry, CSR and investor introductions

Who can apply

  • A DPIIT-registered startup working in ICT, IT and AI, electronic design and manufacturing, or deeptech products
  • A minimum viable product or working prototype, a viable business plan and a full-time founder or co-founder
  • A valid pilot work order or purchase order from an eligible corporate, PSU or unicorn — without one you cannot apply
  • Pilot partners must meet the scheme's turnover floor and have at least five years of operations; government bodies, PSUs, Fortune 500 firms, large Indian and global corporates and unicorn startups are preferred

How to apply: through the scheme's application page, linked from the incubator's incubation page.
