How to apply to Vietnam Silicon Valley

Choosing the right programme

  • For a pre-seed or seed startup in Vietnam or with a Vietnam link, the accelerator is the main route. The bootcamp is in person in Hanoi.
  • For a climate-tech startup in agriculture or circular economy, Climate Tech Catalyst is the programme to check. It needs a clear plan for a Vietnam presence or partnerships.
  • For an early-stage technology startup that is already raising, pitch the venture fund directly.

How applications work

  • Accelerator: apply on F6S. You can save a draft and come back later.
  • Climate Tech Catalyst: apply on the programme site. The form asks for your solution, market and team, and a pitch deck is required. Progress is not saved automatically, so prepare your answers before you start.
  • Venture fund: send your pitch deck through the fund's pitch link.

How selection works

  • Accelerator: an online interview with a partner, then a face-to-face interview in Hanoi before an investor committee.
  • The accelerator's interview stages are in English.
  • Climate Tech Catalyst: the programme judges investors, industry experts and ecosystem stakeholders at Demo Day, and awards the top three startups in each track.

Before you apply

  • The accelerator's latest open-call banner is for a 2021 batch, and its dates have no year. Confirm the current intake with info@vsvcapital.com.vn before you prepare.
  • For questions about the accelerator process, the firm says the quickest answer is in the Discuss tab on F6S.

About Vietnam Silicon Valley

VSV Capital is a Hanoi-based accelerator and venture fund for early-stage startups connected to Vietnam. It was formerly known as Vietnam Silicon Valley Accelerator (VSVA). The firm says its accelerator launched in 2014 and was the first accelerator in Vietnam. It started a venture fund in 2019, under the VSV Capital name.

How the programmes work

The main accelerator is a 4-month bootcamp in Hanoi for pre-seed and seed stage startups. Each selected team receives cash in exchange for equity. The bootcamp includes expert workshops and seminars, one-to-one office hours with lead mentors who are partners of the firm, a weekly dinner talk with an entrepreneur or investor, a Feedback Day and a Demo Day. After the bootcamp, the firm keeps introducing startups to resources, customers, partners and investors.

The venture fund invests in technology startups at the early stages, in the gap before a Series A round. It does not limit itself to one industry. The firm lists past investments in logistics, e-commerce, hardware, agritech, edtech and medtech. You pitch the fund directly. You do not apply to a scheme.

With MYSC, the firm also delivers Climate Tech Catalyst - Vietnam and Beyond, a cross-border acceleration programme for climate-tech startups. Its 2026 cohort covers agriculture and circular economy. Its 2027 cohort covers renewable energy and clean transport. The programme is described as equity-free. Its awards are split across two tracks. The programme's own site says it sits under a project funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency, hosted by the Ministry of Finance of Viet Nam and implemented by the Global Green Growth Institute.

A past programme, the Global Acceleration Program for Startups, ran from 2018 to 2023. It helped Korean startups advance their business in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development. It is closed.

Who can apply

The accelerator takes pre-seed and seed stage startups. Applications and interviews are in English, and the final face-to-face interview is held in Hanoi. The programme pages say the accelerator invests in Vietnam-connected startups. They do not state a rule for India-based founders, so check before you apply.

Climate Tech Catalyst takes climate-tech startups and SMEs at MVP, pilot or growth stage, in agriculture or in circular economy and waste management. The startup must be based in Vietnam, or have a clear plan to set up local presence or partnerships there. It must show clear climate or environmental impact.

The venture fund takes early-stage technology startups. Introductions from a mutual contact help, according to the firm.

Locations

The accelerator bootcamp runs in Hanoi, where the firm is based in Tay Ho District. Climate Tech Catalyst plans a market exploration trip in Hanoi, a fundraising trip to Seoul and a Demo Day week in Ho Chi Minh City. The programme says these timings and locations are indicative and may change.

Who runs it

The firm's team includes Linh Han, Founding Partner, and Gibs Song, General Partner. The team page also lists Tra Hoang as managing director of the VC fund and Chi Han as managing director of the business accelerator. Linh Han is also the firm's founder and managing partner. The lead mentors are partners of the firm, not external advisers. The firm says it has taken part in Vietnamese government startup projects, including Techfest Vietnam and AI4VN, and that it co-organises startup events with local institutions.

The firm's own figures are self-reported. Its pages give different counts of batches, valuation multiples and entrepreneurs helped, so none is quoted here as a headline result.
