About National Ideathon
The National Ideathon was an idea competition run by the centre, with the Usha Mittal Institute of Technology for the 2022 edition. Its stated aim was to test whether proposals were feasible enough to be incubated at the centre. It ran in 2021-22 and again in 2022. No current edition is published, so treat it as between editions.
Who could take part
- Participants from across India; the 2022 edition was opened up nationwide
- Ideas in the focus areas set for that edition: AI and ML; IoT, robotics and drone technology; fashion design; innovative design technology; agrotech; pharmacy; food technology; fintech; entertainment and toys; and health and hygiene
How selection worked: For the 2022 edition, 47 participants took part and 25 were shortlisted for the final round, according to the centre's annual report.
How to apply: There is no open call. Ask the centre whether another edition is planned.
