About this competition
The nasscom Centre of Excellence for IoT & AI presents a CoE Innovation Challenge for an AI-powered Intelligent Examination Scheduling and Planning Assistant for the Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB).
GSSSB conducts about 50–150 recruitment examinations a year. Schedules are finalized manually by reviewing calendars from GPSC, UPSC, SSC, NEET, Railway Recruitment Boards and other authorities, plus holidays, festivals and administrative constraints — typically taking around 45 days. Officials must also weigh candidate attendance, centre readiness, weather and public events; four exams were adversely affected by weather in the last three years.
The challenge seeks AI and deep-tech solutions that aggregate multi-agency exam calendars, detect clashes, score attendance and weather/event risks, and recommend optimal dates with decision-ready insights — cutting clashes, raising participation and reducing manual planning effort.
Selected startups may progress to a paid Proof-of-Concept with the Government of Gujarat, with a path to state-wide scale after a successful PoC. Open to AI and deep-tech startups across India.
