Who can apply for Atmanirbhar Gujarat Scheme?

New and expanding MSMEs and large or thrust-sector industrial units in Gujarat are eligible. Both greenfield projects and expansion or diversification of existing units can apply.

What capital assistance is available?

Units can receive up to 25% of Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) as capital assistance. Thrust-sector units and those in backward talukas may receive higher percentages — check the Gujarat Industrial Policy 2022–27 for zone-specific rates.

Is equity taken under this scheme?

No. All benefits — capital assistance, interest subsidy, SGST reimbursement, EPF reimbursement, and electricity duty exemption — are non-dilutive subsidies. No equity stake is acquired by the government.

Which sectors get priority benefits?

Thrust sectors include pharma, chemicals, agro-food processing, electronics, defence, and textiles. Units in these sectors and those located in backward talukas qualify for enhanced rates of capital assistance and interest subsidy.

How is the SGST reimbursement structured?

Eligible units receive SGST reimbursement for 5 to 10 years depending on location and enterprise category. Annual claims are filed with the state industries department after GST return filing.

Applications are submitted through the iFP portal (ifp.gujarat.gov.in) — Gujarat's Investment Facilitation Portal. Projects above a threshold may be handled through the Gujarat Large Project Nodal Agency (GLPNA).
