Applications are initially screened by the Project Management Agency (PMA) to ensure they meet all eligibility criteria, including company registration, net worth requirements, and adherence to manufacturing guidelines. The PMA evaluates the proposed investments, production capacities, and incremental sales targets against the scheme's prescribed thresholds. Following the PMA's assessment, the Empowered Committee reviews the recommendations and provides final approval for eligible projects, their committed investment, and production targets. The ultimate incentive disbursement is based on the verification of actual incremental production and sales achieved by the company over the specified five-year incentive period.

How is the application submitted?
The application process is entirely online. Applicants are required to register on the official PLI portal, providing company and authorized contact person details. After successful registration and login using their CIN and password, they can proceed to complete and submit the detailed application form. The application must be submitted within 30 days from the scheme's launch date by an authorized signatory.
What is the base year for calculations under the scheme?
Financial Year 2024–25 shall be considered as the base year for calculations under the scheme. Incremental production and sales will be evaluated against this base year to determine eligibility and incentive amounts.
