Who can apply for MIDH benefits?
Farmers, horticulture entrepreneurs, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), cooperatives and companies investing in horticulture production or post-harvest infrastructure are eligible. Subsidy rates vary by beneficiary category (small/marginal farmers typically get higher subsidy percentages).
What subsidy rates are available?
Subsidy varies by sub-scheme: protected cultivation (polyhouses/greenhouses) — 50% of project cost for units above 500 sqm; cold chain infrastructure — 35%–50%; post-harvest management — 35%; micro-irrigation — 45%–55% for small/marginal farmers.
