ANGRAU Agri Innovations and Entrepreneurship Development (AIED) Cell was established in June 2019 at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Tirupati, under Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU). Funded by RKVY-RAFTAAR (Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana), it promotes innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture and allied sectors across Andhra Pradesh.
The cell runs two main programs: AGRI INVO, which supports startups with innovative products at the MVP stage ready for commercialization in agriculture and allied sectors, and MERISTEMS, which supports students in building ideas and prototypes for establishing their own agri-startups and becoming successful agripreneurs. The centre is now in its 9th cohort of the Agripreneurship program.
