इस प्रतियोगिता के बारे में
The MIT Solve 2027 Global Climate Challenge invites innovators worldwide to develop impactful solutions for the urgent climate crisis. This challenge focuses on equitable adaptation strategies and decarbonization across critical areas, including low-carbon and climate-resilient cities, protection against extreme climate hazards, transformation of agrifood systems, and sustainable use of ocean and coastal environments.
Decades of delayed climate action have made adaptation critically urgent, with significant emissions stemming from food systems, urban development, and industrial practices. Communities globally face escalating heat, flooding, drought, and wildfires, often with limited resources. Solutions are needed that can be implemented within existing systems, budgets, and infrastructure, demonstrating both impact and financial sustainability.
MIT Solve welcomes diverse technologies, from advanced robotics and AI to traditional and natural knowledge systems, that can improve monitoring, enhance infrastructure, optimize resource management, and strengthen community resilience. The program seeks human-centered and tech-based innovations that expand local capabilities and foster trusted decision-making to build low-carbon systems, protect biodiversity, and help communities thrive in a changing climate. Entrepreneurs and teams from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply with innovative ideas that address these pressing global challenges.

समयसीमा और प्रक्रिया
चयन प्रक्रिया
The selection process for the MIT Solve Global Climate Challenge is rigorous and multi-staged. Initially, Solve's staff and community conduct an initial screening to ensure alignment with the challenge criteria. Following this, expert reviewers meticulously evaluate and score the submitted solutions based on Solve’s comprehensive judging criteria. Solutions with the highest scores advance to the semifinalist round.
In the semifinalist stage, Challenge Leadership Group judges, comprising experts and leaders from various industries and sectors, further evaluate and score the solutions. The top-scoring solutions are then selected as finalists. Finalists are typically notified in February and invited to participate in a virtual live pitch and Q&A session with the judges. After these presentations, the judges deliberate to select the final Solver class, who are then onboarded into the nine-month support program. Key evaluation criteria include alignment with the challenge, potential for impact, feasibility, innovative approach, human-centered design, scalability, partnership potential, and technical feasibility.
