The Government of Telangana, formed in 2014, has rapidly built one of India's most celebrated innovation ecosystems, centred on Hyderabad. Through the IT, E&C department and the Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC), the state operates a connected network of incubators, accelerators and grand challenges that has become a national model.
Flagship institutions.
Support and funding. Telangana runs grand challenges and innovation programmes, offers grants, prototyping support, and connects startups to a deep corporate and investor network. TSIC coordinates Intinta Innovator (grassroots innovation) and student-innovation programmes across districts.
Focus areas. Deeptech, AI, lifesciences and pharma (Genome Valley), agritech, cleantech, electronics, gaming/animation and emerging technologies.
Eligibility. Startups across stages, with dedicated women-focused support through WE-Hub and student/grassroots tracks via TSIC; many programmes are open to founders willing to base operations in Telangana.
Who should apply. Founders seeking world-class incubation, prototyping and corporate connects — and women entrepreneurs in particular — should engage with T-Hub, WE-Hub and T-Works, and track TSIC programmes at telangana.gov.in.
