Programmes they run

Standing programmes at Impact Hub Hyderabad, separate from the funding calls above.

Only the Social Impact Award has a published application route. The other three are programme areas Impact Hub Hyderabad describes on its Impact Programs page without intakes, deadlines or forms, so the way in is a conversation with the team.

An annual programme for people aged 14 to 30 in India with an early-stage social or environmental idea, run in India by Impact Hub Hyderabad.

Best for: People aged 14 to 30 in India with an early-stage idea or young venture with social or environmental impact

  • Idea – Prototype
  • Hybrid
  • Grant support for selected startups

With Social Impact Award, WE Hub

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

The Social Impact Award is a yearly programme for young people taking their first steps in social entrepreneurship. Impact Hub Hyderabad runs the India edition and says the 2026 round was its third consecutive year as the official licensee in India. The 2026 kick-off was held in Hyderabad at WE Hub, a Government of Telangana initiative. Applications open once a year and close on an announced date, and the current round has finished taking applications.

What you get

  • Mentoring and expert support on validating your business and impact models and on prototyping your idea
  • A cohort of other young founders, with bootcamps, cohort gatherings and webinars run across the award's other countries
  • Exposure through a public community voting round, where your venture is listed and people vote for it
  • A chance to win the award, which carries recognition, pre-seed funding and a place at the award's annual summit
  • Written feedback on your application even if you are not selected

Who can apply

  • Every member of the core team must be legally between 14 and 30 years old
  • The venture must be based in India
  • An early-stage idea or startup addressing a social or environmental challenge
  • Ideas that are not yet implemented are welcome; a project already in early implementation qualifies only if it was founded after 1 January of the previous year
  • You must not have taken significant formal start-up funding from outside sources before applying
  • You must not have been through the incubation before with the same idea, or have won the award previously

How selection works: the local Impact Hub Hyderabad team first checks that every application meets the formal eligibility rules. A jury of experts from the private, public and plural sectors then assesses the applications on impact potential, degree of innovation, feasibility and team capacity. Finalists are announced at a dedicated event that is open to everyone.

How to apply: applications are submitted on the Social Impact Award platform, which Impact Hub Hyderabad links to from its own Social Impact Award pages. Questions about the India edition can go to hyderabad@impacthub.net.

See the latest call

A market-readiness programme area for impact enterprises that have validated a solution and want to reach buyers and partners in new regions.

Best for: Impact enterprises with a validated solution that are ready for new markets

  • Early revenue – Growth
What you get, who can apply and how to apply

Impact Hub Hyderabad describes this as a pathway for enterprises that already have a working, validated solution and are ready for broader markets. It runs across locations rather than in one place, and the focus is on market readiness, building partnerships and setting up pilot engagements with institutions and buyers. The hub says the aim is sustainable revenue, better incomes and employment, so impact-led businesses can grow without drifting from what they set out to do.

Who can apply

  • Impact enterprises with a validated solution that are ready to engage with broader markets

How to apply: no intake dates, selection process or application form are published for this programme. The hub treats it as a conversation rather than a call, so the route in is the contact form on its site or an email to hyderabad@impacthub.net setting out your stage and what you are looking for.

Full GTM Focused Translocal Programs guide

A programme area for innovators working across agriculture, climate resilience and climate-linked healthcare.

Best for: Innovators in agriculture, climate resilience and climate-linked healthcare

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

This programme area brings together people working where agriculture, climate resilience and climate-linked healthcare meet. Impact Hub Hyderabad says the emphasis is on solutions that have been tested in the field and that respond to real vulnerabilities in communities affected by climate change. The work happens through pilots, partnerships and impact measurement, aimed at restoring ecosystems, strengthening food and water systems and improving health outcomes. Climate and regenerative economy is also one of the five ecosystems the hub convenes, alongside startups, corporates, academia and partners.

How to apply: no intake, eligibility rules or application form are published. Contact the hub through its site or at hyderabad@impacthub.net if your work fits this area.

Official programme page

A programme area working with women-led collectives, artisans and underserved communities on sustainable livelihoods.

Best for: Women-led collectives, artisans and community enterprises

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

This area works with women-led collectives, artisans and underserved communities to build economic pathways that hold their value over time. Impact Hub Hyderabad combines skills development, sustainable practice and access to markets so that communities can take part in the economy without giving up their cultural identity, and treats culture and inclusion as foundations rather than add-ons. The outcomes it describes go beyond income to agency, equity and keeping local knowledge alive.

How to apply: no intake, eligibility rules or application form are published. Contact the hub through its site or at hyderabad@impacthub.net if your work fits this area.

How to apply to Impact Hub Hyderabad

Choosing the right route

Impact Hub Hyderabad has one programme you can actually apply to and several you have to talk your way into.

  • If you are between 14 and 30, based in India, and have an early-stage idea or young venture with social or environmental impact, the Social Impact Award is your route. It is the hub's flagship and it runs every year.
  • If you are an enterprise with a validated solution looking for new markets, partners or pilots, or an organisation that wants impact measurement or reporting help, there is no form to fill. Use the contact page and open a conversation.
  • If you are looking for a desk or an office, check first. The site does not currently advertise workspace.

How applications work

Social Impact Award applications are made on the Social Impact Award platform, not on the hub's own site. Applications open and close once a year and the India edition's deadline is announced by the hub, usually around a kick-off event in Hyderabad. Watch the hub's events page and the Social Impact Award India site for the dates, because the timeline page on the award site is often left blank.

Check the eligibility rules carefully before you write anything. Every member of your core team has to be within the age range. If your project is already running, it must have been founded after 1 January of the previous year. You cannot apply with an idea you have already taken through the incubation, and you cannot apply if you have already won.

How selection works

There are two gates. The local team at Impact Hub Hyderabad first checks that your application meets the formal criteria. Applications that pass go to a jury of experts drawn from business, the public sector and civil society, who score them on impact potential, degree of innovation, feasibility and team capacity. Finalists are announced at a public event.

Write to those four criteria directly. Be concrete about the problem and who has it, say what is genuinely new about your approach, show that you can build and test it with the people and time you have, and introduce your team honestly. A clear, testable plan tends to beat an ambitious one you cannot start.

After you apply

If you are not selected you can still ask for feedback on your application; the award offers it to every applicant, not just finalists. If you are selected, expect bootcamps, a mentor assigned to you, sessions with the rest of your cohort, webinars run across countries, and a public community voting round where you will need to get people behind your venture. That voting round rewards teams who can explain their idea in plain language to strangers, so it is worth preparing a short video and a clear one-liner early.

For everyone else

For the go-to-market, climate and inclusion programmes, and for market access or consulting, say clearly in your first message which of the hub's areas you fit, what stage you are at, and what specific help you want. The team is explicit that not every conversation becomes a project, so a focused ask does better than a general introduction.

About Impact Hub Hyderabad

Impact Hub Hyderabad is an impact-entrepreneurship organisation in Madhapur, Hyderabad, and the local hub of the global Impact Hub network. It runs programmes, market-access work, events and consulting for founders and organisations working on social, climate and inclusion challenges, and it is the official Social Impact Award licensee in India. Its office is at A&A Lakefront, opposite Durgam Cheruvu Lake.

The wider Impact Hub network was established in 2005 and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Impact Hub Hyderabad does not publish its own founding year. It describes itself as an organisation that provides a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs and innovators solving societal, climate and critical innovation challenges, and says its community brings together individual changemakers, startups, corporates, research and academia, and impact organisations.

How programmes work

There is one programme with a published application route: the Social Impact Award. Impact Hub Hyderabad runs the India edition, and the Social Impact Award's own team page names it as the local organisation behind it. At the 2026 kick-off in March, held at WE Hub, a Government of Telangana initiative, the hub said it was its third consecutive year as the official licensee in India. Applicants apply on the Social Impact Award platform, the local team checks formal eligibility, and a jury of experts from the private, public and plural sectors picks finalists on impact potential, degree of innovation, feasibility and team capacity. Finalists go through an incubation of bootcamps, one-to-one mentoring, cohort gatherings and international webinars, then a community voting round, and the strongest ventures take the award at a closing ceremony. Everyone who applies, not only the finalists, can ask for written feedback on their application.

Alongside that, the hub describes three other programme areas on its Impact Programs page: a go-to-market translocal programme for enterprises with validated solutions, a climate and regenerative economy programme, and a programme on women, sustainability, culture and inclusion. These are written as themes rather than as cohorts. None of them publishes an intake, a deadline, a selection process or an application form, so the way in is a conversation with the team rather than a form. The hub says as much itself: engagement often begins with a conversation, some conversations lead to partnerships, some to programmes, and not all of them turn into projects.

Two other lines of work sit next to the programmes. Global Market Access is aimed at companies ready to scale abroad and leans on the Impact Hub network for partners, ecosystems and expansion routes. Impact Consulting covers impact assessment, measurement and management, environmental, social and governance compliance, and business expansion advisory, and is pitched at organisations and institutions rather than at individual founders.

Who can apply

The Social Impact Award sets the clearest bar. Every member of the core applicant team must be legally between 14 and 30 years old. The venture must be based in India and must be an early-stage idea or startup with social or environmental impact. Ideas that have not been implemented yet are welcome, and so are ideas in early implementation, but only if the project was founded after 1 January of the previous year. Applicants must not have taken significant formal start-up funding from outside sources before applying, and must not have entered the incubation before with the same idea or won the award in a previous year.

The hub's other work is aimed at a different group: enterprises that already have validated solutions and are ready for broader markets, and, on the homepage, Indian and international growth and revenue-stage startups. Women-led collectives, artisans and community enterprises are named in the inclusion programme. Corporates, institutions, academia and government are treated as partners rather than as applicants.

Sectors

Impact Hub Hyderabad groups its work into five areas: digital innovation and artificial intelligence; women, sustainability, culture and inclusion; climate and regenerative economy, covering climate action, circular economy, sustainable agriculture and regenerative business models; accessible healthcare and life sciences; and impact investments, where it describes itself as a platform connecting impact ventures with aligned investors and supporting investment readiness and curated deal flow. Its mission statement names three of these as the systemic-change priorities: healthcare, digital innovation and artificial intelligence, and climate and regenerative economy.

Events

Events are a large part of what the hub does in Hyderabad. It hosted the Impact Hub APAC Gathering in November 2025, which it says brought Impact Hub teams from more than 20 countries to the city. It ran an EV Mobility Roundtable and Technology Showcase in February 2026 aimed at electric mobility adoption in India with an emphasis on small and medium manufacturers. It has hosted delegations from the City of Karlsruhe in Germany twice, in February 2025 and February 2026. Earlier workshops include a sustainable fashion and Indian art session with fusionAIx that drew more than 75 participants, and an eco-friendly diya-making day for more than 100 women. The events page on the site is not fully up to date, so the homepage is the better place to see what has just happened.

Facilities

The site does not advertise a co-working space, memberships, desks or office rentals. Only a street address is published. Founders who want workspace in Hyderabad should ask the team directly rather than assume it is on offer.

Who runs it

Vijay Madduri is co-founder and chief executive, Jyoshna Reddy is co-founder and chief operating officer, and Martin Stoehr is a co-founder. Dileep Kumar Podili is director of innovation and global strategy and was named country coordinator for the 2026 Social Impact Award edition. The rest of the published team covers operations and business development, web services, and brand communications. The Social Impact Award India team page lists two further people under Impact Hub Hyderabad who do not appear on the hub's own team page.

How to get in touch

The site has a contact form, an office phone line and a general enquiries address at hyderabad@impacthub.net. There is no general application form for the hub itself. The About Us menu shows a careers entry, but it does not link anywhere and no careers page exists on the site.
