LV Prasad Eye Institute BioNEST Incubator

The LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) BioNEST Incubator is India's first hospital-based incubator, funded under the BioNEST programme of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Government of India. Housed at LVPEI's Kismatpur campus in Hyderabad, the incubator serves as a one-stop partner for healthcare innovators to incubate ideas, develop prototypes, and advance through commercial milestones.

The incubator focuses on innovations across medical devices, diagnostics, digital technologies, and biopharmaceuticals, embodying LVPEI's mission of translating healthcare research from bench to bedside. It conducts annual Startup Challenges in partnership with the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) to recognise the best startups globally in eye-care innovation, providing a platform for innovators to connect with industry leaders, investors, and clinical key opinion leaders. Winning teams receive free incubation, mentoring support, and access to LVPEI's clinical infrastructure and research expertise.
