About WE Hub

WE Hub (Women Entrepreneurs Hub) is India's first state-government-led incubator dedicated exclusively to women entrepreneurs. Established in 2018 by the Government of Telangana under the Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) Department, WE Hub operates from Hyderabad and provides incubation, mentorship, funding access, and market linkages to women-led startups across sectors. The initiative was created to address the significant gender gap in India's startup ecosystem and to build a structured support system for women founders.

Role

WE Hub serves as a one-stop platform for women entrepreneurs at various stages of their business journey. It connects founders with mentors, investors, industry partners, and government programs. The hub also acts as a policy interface, working with state and central government bodies to shape programs that benefit women-led businesses. Its role extends beyond traditional incubation to include ecosystem building, awareness campaigns, and partnerships with corporates and international organizations.

Programs

WE Hub runs multiple programs tailored to different stages of entrepreneurship. Its flagship incubation program provides women founders with co-working space, mentorship from industry experts, access to prototyping labs, and introductions to angel investors and venture capitalists. The hub also conducts sector-specific cohort programs in areas such as agritech, healthtech, and fintech. WE Hub partners with organizations like NITI Aayog, UN Women, and various corporates to run accelerator batches, hackathons, and pitch competitions. It also operates outreach programs in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across Telangana to identify and support women entrepreneurs outside Hyderabad.

Who Benefits

WE Hub primarily benefits women entrepreneurs across India, with a strong focus on founders from Telangana and the broader South Indian ecosystem. It supports women at all stages, from ideation to growth, across technology and non-technology sectors. First-time founders, women from semi-urban and rural backgrounds, and those transitioning from traditional businesses to tech-enabled models find particular value in the hub's programs.

Strategic Impact

WE Hub has established itself as a model for gender-inclusive entrepreneurship support in India. By operating as a government-backed institution, it brings credibility, policy access, and long-term stability that private incubators often cannot match. The hub has influenced other states to consider dedicated women entrepreneurship programs, and its partnership with international bodies has brought global best practices to the Indian women founders' ecosystem. For Indian women entrepreneurs seeking structured support without equity dilution, WE Hub represents one of the most accessible entry points.
