About this grant
WE Engage – Wadhwani Liftoff: PROPEL is a 12-week, high-impact program specifically designed to empower women entrepreneurs currently navigating the early growth and scaling stages of their businesses. This program is a collaborative effort between WE Hub, an initiative of the Government of Telangana known as India's first state-led incubator dedicated to women entrepreneurs, and the Wadhwani Foundation, a global non-profit focused on accelerating economic development through entrepreneurship. WE Hub has a proven track record of supporting women-led ventures, notably facilitating a significant recoverable grant for Huwel Lifesciences through its partnerships, underscoring its commitment to fostering entrepreneurial success.
The core objective of the PROPEL program is to provide participants with strategic access to crucial market opportunities, diverse funding sources, and an expansive professional network. While the program directly offers support, it actively facilitates access to various financial instruments, including grants, seed funding, and debt financing, leveraging WE Hub's extensive partnership ecosystem. This multifaceted approach ensures that entrepreneurs are well-positioned to secure the capital required for significant scaling and expansion.
Participants in PROPEL embark on a customized journey that features co-designed modules, personalized mentorship from industry experts, and hands-on bootcamps. These integrated elements are carefully crafted to help entrepreneurs refine their product-market fit, develop effective and scalable business models, and ultimately strengthen their ability to attract and secure external funding. The program's comprehensive focus on market traction, sustainability, and strategic guidance is geared towards propelling women-led businesses to their next level of success. The collaboration aims to amplify the impact on women-led startups across India, contributing to economic growth and job creation.
