Department of MSME, Government of Madhya Pradesh

The Department of MSME, Government of Madhya Pradesh is the state's nodal government body for the Madhya Pradesh Startup Policy 2022, operating via mpmsme.gov.in and startup.mp.gov.in. It provides financial assistance, infrastructure, and facilitation services to entrepreneurs and startups, with a special focus on tier-2 cities, tribal regions, and women-led enterprises.

MP Startup Policy 2022

A comprehensive state startup policy offering:

  • Sustenance allowance: ₹10,000/month for 1 year
  • Margin money assistance: Up to ₹12 lakh
  • Interest subsidy: Up to 5–6% for 7 years
  • Lease rental assistance: ₹5,000/month for 3 years
  • Patent assistance: Up to ₹5 lakh
  • Employment generation support: ₹5,000/employee/month for up to 25 employees

Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana (MMUKY)

Launched April 2022: Collateral-free business loans of ₹1–50 lakh (manufacturing) and ₹1–25 lakh (services/trading) with a 3% per annum interest subsidy for youth aged 18–40.

State Innovation Challenge

Special grants up to ₹1 crore for selected startups solving high-impact socio-economic problems of the state, evaluated by a committee chaired by the Chief Secretary.

Incubator Support

Capital grants (up to ₹1 crore for new incubators), operational assistance (up to ₹10 lakh/year for 3 years), and special grants for Livelihood Business Incubators in tribal districts (up to ₹1 crore).

Track Record

Over 5,000 startups have been registered under the MP Startup Policy, generating 50,000+ employment opportunities.

DPIIT-recognised startups with MP-based GST registration, women entrepreneurs, SC/ST/OBC founders, youth self-employment seekers, and established MSMEs seeking expansion support — across manufacturing, agritech, food processing, IT, healthcare, and renewable energy.
