National hackathon under the MSME Innovative Scheme to validate and incubate innovative ideas, with up to Rs. 15 lakh per approved idea provided to the Host Institute.
The **MSME Idea Hackathon** is run by the Ministry of MSME under the Incubation component of the MSME Innovative Scheme. It promotes and supports untapped creativity and the adoption of latest technologies in MSMEs by validating ideas at the proof-of-concept level, and connects innovators with enablers who advise on design, strategy and execution. Approved ideas are nurtured through recognised **Host Institutes (HIs)** acting as Business Incubators (BIs), from conceptualisation to commercialisation. **Financial assistance of up to Rs. 15 lakh per approved idea** is provided to the Host Institute for developing and nurturing the idea. The hackathon runs in periodic editions (e.g. 5.0, 6.0), each with its own application window.
The MSME Idea Hackathon, under the MSME Innovative Scheme, invites innovative ideas and solutions from innovators across India and supports their development to proof-of-concept and commercialisation through recognised Host Institutes.
Financial assistance of up to Rs. 15 lakh per approved idea is provided to the Host Institute for developing and nurturing the idea, along with incubation support (mentoring, design, strategy and execution guidance) towards commercialisation.
