The MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0 is an initiative by the Ministry of MSME to foster inclusive innovation and address national challenges. It invites Indian citizens aged 18 to 60 years to submit innovative ideas under themes like low-carbon technologies, cyber defense, Industry 4.0 & 5.0 adoption, coastal/hilly area sustainability, and smart supply chains. Selected ideas receive funding up to ₹15 lakhs and incubation support under the MSME Innovative Scheme (Incubation Component) for nurturing the idea into a prototype.

Registration on portal
Visit the MSME Hackathon registration portal and fill in personal details: name, state, district, address, email, mobile number, gender, date of birth, and verification code. If previously registered for an MSME Idea Hackathon, use the same email ID and password.

Who can apply for the MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0?
Any Indian citizen aged 18 to 60 years, MSMEs registered with Udyam Registration, freelancers, professionals, and innovators. For students, a valid Student Identity Card for FY 2025-26 is required.
What kind of ideas are supported?
Ideas must be novel, innovative, useful to society, and scalable. They should aim to reduce cost, improve quality of life, provide convenience, or focus on clean & green energy. Ideas that infringe on novelty/originality, contradict established scientific norms, or lack originality are not supported.
How much funding can I receive?
Eligible ideas can receive funding of up to ₹15,00,000.
Is incubation support provided along with the grant?
Yes, selected ideas receive incubation support under the MSME Innovative Scheme (Incubation Component) to nurture the idea into a prototype.
Can an idea that already received funding from another agency be submitted?
No. The proposed objectives and deliverables must not have received funding support from any other agency.
