Track record

What AIC-Pinnacle Entrepreneurship Forum reports about its portfolio.

These are AIC-Pinnacle's own published figures, and its pages do not agree with each other. The homepage counters give more than 110 for startups, mentors and partners alike, and more than 250 IPRs filed, while the portfolio, mentor and partner pages name 84, 66 and 76 respectively. The counts below are the named lists, which are the ones we could check. The centre also says it won the PMA Eminence Award 2025 in the Incubator of the Year category.

84Startups supportedCompanies named on the startup portfolio page. The homepage counter claims more than 110, which the named list does not bear out.
66Mentors on panelMentors named on the mentors page. The same page's prose says more than 100 and the homepage counter says more than 110.

All figures self-reported — aic-pinnacle.org, as of Sept 2026.

Programmes they run

Standing programmes at AIC-Pinnacle Entrepreneurship Forum, separate from the funding calls above.

Five programmes make up the incubation ladder — Idea Utsav, Emerge, Evolve, Elevate and EvolutioNari — and each has its own application form on the incubation page. The four government schemes below are routes AIC-Pinnacle channels, not its own money, and most need you to be affiliated with the centre first.

A monthly online workshop where founders pitch an idea or prototype to a panel and get feedback on what to do next.

Best for: Anyone at idea or prototype stage who wants a reality check before committing to a programme

  • Idea – Prototype
  • Monthly workshop
  • Online
  • No equity
What you get, who can apply and how to apply

Idea Utsav is AIC-Pinnacle's monthly idea validation workshop and the lowest-commitment way into the centre. It runs online, and each founder gets time to present.

What you get

  • Time to pitch to a panel of mentors, industry professionals and ecosystem enablers
  • Feedback in the session, and written feedback afterwards to guide your next steps
  • A route into the pre-incubation or incubation programme if your stage fits

Who can apply

  • Individuals or teams with an idea, a concept or a prototype

How selection works: You pitch to the panel. Selected startups may be considered for further support under the pre-incubation or incubation programmes, depending on the stage the startup is at.

How to apply: Open the Idea Utsav application link on the incubation page. It runs monthly, so if you miss one, the next is not far off.

Full Idea Utsav – Idea Validation Workshop guide

A three-month online pre-incubation programme, taken with no equity, that validates an idea and prepares founders for the full incubation programme.

Best for: First-time founders with a proof of concept who are not yet ready for full incubation

  • Idea – Prototype
  • 3 months
  • Online
  • No equity
What you get, who can apply and how to apply

  • Guidance from the mentor pool
  • Lab access, co-working space, training and workshops, network and events, technical assistance and IPR help

Who can apply

  • Working in EV and mobility, cleantech, healthtech, artificial intelligence, or robotics and automation

How selection works: The centre does not publish its selection steps. Cohorts are capped at twelve, so places are limited.

How to apply: Use the Emerge application link on the incubation page. Questions can go to manager@aic-pinnacle.org.

How to apply to AIC-Pinnacle Entrepreneurship Forum

Choosing the right programme

Pick by stage, and check the sector list first. Idea Utsav is a monthly workshop for anyone with an idea, a concept or a prototype, and it is the lowest-commitment way in. Emerge is the three-month pre-incubation programme and the stated entry point to everything else, but its eligibility box asks for a valid proof of concept even though the surrounding text says it is open to entrepreneurs at any stage. Evolve is the twelve-month incubation programme and wants you at prototype to MVP. Elevate is the six-month accelerator and wants early traction or revenue. Women founders at ideation to prototype stage can apply to EvolutioNari instead.

Emerge, Evolve and EvolutioNari all name the same five sectors: EV and mobility, cleantech, healthtech, artificial intelligence, and robotics and automation. If you are outside those, Elevate is the sector-agnostic option, and the portfolio shows agritech, education, food and beverages, IoT and SaaS companies as well.

How applications work

There is no single portal. Each programme links its own form from the incubation page, so start there rather than from the contact page. Cohorts are small — twelve for Emerge, twenty-four for Evolve, twenty for Elevate — so treat the intake as competitive even when the page says applications are open.

Some dates on the site are missing. The Elevate section shows a last-date label with nothing after it, and Idea Utsav is described only as monthly. If timing matters to you, email and ask before you build a plan around it.

How selection works

Idea Utsav is a pitch to a panel of mentors, industry professionals and ecosystem enablers, and the centre says startups from it may be routed into pre-incubation or incubation depending on stage. That makes it a reasonable first step if you are unsure which programme fits. For the government schemes, MeitY TIDE 2.0 selection is done by a committee, and the Atal Innovation Mission route requires you to have been an affiliated, registered company for at least three months first — so plan on incubation before funding, not instead of it.

What to have ready

A proof of concept for Emerge, a working prototype or MVP for Evolve, and revenue evidence for Elevate. For the government routes, get the paperwork in order early: DPIIT recognition, Indian incorporation as a private limited company or LLP, at least 51 per cent Indian promoter shareholding for the Atal Innovation Mission and seed fund routes, and a valid Udyam registration if you want the free IPR filing service. The seed fund route also excludes startups that have already taken substantial support from other central or state schemes, so declare what you have received.

One practical note

The centre's own counters and its named lists disagree — the homepage claims more than 110 startups, mentors and partners each, while the portfolio, mentor and partner pages name 84, 66 and 76. Ask directly about current cohort activity and what is actually available to you rather than reading the numbers on the front page.

About AIC-Pinnacle Entrepreneurship Forum

AIC-Pinnacle Entrepreneurship Forum is an Atal Incubation Centre in Pune, registered as a Section 8 not-for-profit company and hosted by Pinnacle Industries Ltd., an automotive interiors, seating, EV components and speciality vehicles manufacturer. It says it is supported by the Atal Innovation Mission at NITI Aayog, the Ministry of MSME, DPIIT under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Its registered office is in MIDC Bhosari, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and its communication address is at Sai Radhe Complex in Sangamvadi, Pune.

What they support

Three of its incubation programmes name the same sector list — EV and mobility, cleantech, healthtech, artificial intelligence, and robotics and automation. Its acceleration programme is sector agnostic. The startup portfolio page groups companies more widely, with filters for agritech, automotive and mobility, cleantech, EV, education, food and beverages, healthtech, IoT, IT and SaaS, and robotics and AI.

Stages run from an idea with a proof of concept, through prototype to MVP, to startups already generating revenue. There is a separate track for women founders at the ideation to prototype stage, a programme for students, and a residency route for companies based outside India.

Programmes

Idea Utsav is a monthly virtual idea validation workshop. Founders pitch to a panel of mentors, industry professionals and ecosystem enablers, get feedback in the session and written feedback afterwards, and may be considered for the pre-incubation or incubation programme depending on their stage. It is open to individuals or teams with an idea, a concept or a prototype.

Emerge is the three-month pre-incubation programme and the stated entry point into the rest of the centre. It is virtual and zero-equity, and runs structured modules on market research, business planning and financial management alongside interactive sessions and workshops. The eligibility box asks for a valid proof of concept and one of the five focus sectors. Cohorts are capped at twelve.

Evolve is the twelve-month incubation programme, split into four modules: Idea and Research, Funding Access, Product Development, and GTM Strategies. It ends with an investor demo day. Participants get guidance from subject-matter experts on legal, finance, operations and marketing, startup toolkits and credits from partners including AWS and Zoho, help with company, DPIIT and MSME registration, logo, trademark and legal support, and free co-working and makerspace. It is for startups at prototype to MVP stage, in the same five sectors, and cohorts are capped at twenty-four. The current intake is labelled Evolve 3.0.

Elevate is the six-month acceleration programme, for startups with early traction or revenue, and it is sector agnostic. It focuses on sales, operations and market expansion, with one-on-one coaching, pitch deck work from an investor's point of view, mock presentation reviews, and repeated chances to pitch investors both online and in person. Each startup is paired with a mentor from its industry. Cohorts are capped at twenty, and the current intake is labelled ELEVATE 3.0.

EvolutioNari is a twelve-month women's entrepreneurship programme for founders at ideation to prototype stage, built around curated sessions, group mentoring, help finding funding routes, and networking with other founders and mentors.

International Incubation Support is a residency route for companies from outside India that want to use the physical incubation programme and reach Indian markets. The page carries a single paragraph and no application link, so ask the centre directly.

Beyond those, AIC-Pinnacle runs a Student Entrepreneurship Development Program covering ideation, business planning, market research and funding strategies, and it has delivered the ATL-Student Innovation Program for school students under the Atal Innovation Mission.

Government schemes it channels

AIC-Pinnacle lists four government routes its startups can apply through. Atal Innovation Mission seed support is open to incubatees affiliated with the centre for at least three months, given as debt or equity against matching money from non-government sources. MeitY TIDE 2.0 supports startups using emerging technologies in healthcare, education, agriculture, environment and cleantech, with an entrepreneur-in-residence stipend at idea stage and grant support later, decided by a selection committee. The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme is for DPIIT-recognised startups incorporated less than two years ago. The MSME Innovative Scheme runs here because the centre is an approved Host Institute, and covers proof-of-concept validation, prototyping and commercialisation.

Facilities and support

The centre lists a maker and co-working space for prototyping and a co-working community area, and lab access appears among the inclusions of the Emerge, Evolve and EvolutioNari programmes. The site does not publish floor area, seat counts or an equipment list, so ask before you plan around it.

Support services named across the site are mentoring, prototype and product development, networking through the host's industry network, investor connect and fundraising, go-to-market and commercialisation help, legal and IPR services, events and training, and hiring support.

The IPR work runs through an Intellectual Property Rights Facilitation Centre set up under the Ministry of MSME. Patents, trademarks, copyrights and designs are handled free of professional fees for MSMEs with a valid Udyam registration, with reimbursement once a patent, trademark or design is granted. Government fees are still paid by the startup.

Track record

Eighty-four companies are named on its startup portfolio page, among them Arcatron Mobility, Attron Automotive, Aumsat Technologies, Equip9, Sakar Robotics, Adivid Technologies, RoadBounce and Ziffytech. Its homepage counter claims more than 110 startups, so the two figures do not agree. Its mentors page names sixty-six mentors while its prose says more than a hundred, and its partners page names seventy-six organisations while the homepage counter again says more than 110. Treat the counters as the centre's own marketing rather than measurements.

Partners named include Force Motors, Pinnacle Industries, AWS, Zoho for Startups, HubSpot for Startups, DBS Bank, the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture, the Pune Management Association, 100X VC, Windrose Capital, JITO JIIF, TiE Pune, Villgro, GUSEC, ARAI-AMTIF, NRDC and IDEMI, plus a long list of Pune-area colleges. The centre says it received the PMA Eminence Award 2025 in the Incubator of the Year category from the Pune Management Association.

Who runs it

Dr. Sudhir Mehta is Founder and Chairman. He is Chairman and Managing Director of Pinnacle Industries and Founder and Chairman of EKA Mobility, and a past chairman of CII Western Region and of MCCIA. Dr. Avinash Thakur is Chief Executive Officer, with Shadab Husain as Senior Manager, Incubation. The advisory board it lists includes Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, Umesh Sarangi, Dr. Rashmi Urdhwareshe, Padmaja Ruparel, Harish Mehta and Ramanan Ramnathan, a former Mission Director of the Atal Innovation Mission.

How to apply and where to find them

Each programme has its own application form linked from the incubation page, and the site says intakes for Idea Utsav, Emerge and EvolutioNari are open. Government scheme support is applied for through the centre once you are affiliated with it. Questions go to the general or manager inbox, or to the phone number on the contact page. The careers page exists and currently says there are no open positions; the events page lists webinars, trainings, workshops and seminars.
