Indian and Finnish partners apply separately to their respective agencies in a single-phase process, with a mandatory joint application form and consortium agreement. Projects are evaluated on innovation quality and market-driven potential with a clear pathway to commercialization. Funding decisions are made jointly by TDB and Business Finland for qualifying projects in sustainable energy, advanced digital technologies, or microelectronics.

Can Indian companies apply without a Finnish partner?
No. A mandatory bilateral R&D collaboration with a company registered in Finland is required. The Indian company must serve as the designated Indian Project Lead (IPL) for the project.
What types of Indian entities are eligible?
Only commercial for-profit companies registered under the Companies Act 1956 or 2013 with at least 51% Indian ownership and headquarters in India. LLPs, sole proprietorships, OPCs, and traditional partnerships are explicitly not eligible.
How much grant can an Indian company receive?
Up to INR 2.5 crore per project, capped at 50% of the total Indian project cost. Funds are disbursed on a reimbursement basis for already-incurred expenses.
What sectors does this call focus on?
