Aryabhatta Knowledge University Incubation Centre

How to apply

• Use the Submit Your Idea button on the centre's page. The form opens only when you are signed in to a Google account.
• You can also call the centre on +91 92410 27682, or visit Gyan Parisar, Mithapur, Patna.

Check before you apply

• Ask whether outside founders are admitted or whether intake favours the university's own students. The page does not restrict applicants, but it does not describe past intakes either.
• Ask whether a registered company is needed, and whether there is a fee or an equity term. The page says nothing on any of these.
• Ask which facilities are open to incubatees today and how desks are booked.

What to bring

• A short description of the idea, the problem it solves and who you are building for.
• Where you are on the journey from idea validation to a first customer, since the centre says it supports the whole path.

How selection works

The centre does not publish selection criteria, a panel or a timeline. Treat the idea submission as an expression of interest and expect to follow up by phone.

The Aryabhatta Knowledge University Incubation Centre is the startup unit of Aryabhatta Knowledge University, a state university in Patna, Bihar. It sits at Gyan Parisar, Mithapur, Patna 800 001, and invites entrepreneurs to submit startup ideas for incubation. The university's site describes it as a Centre of Excellence and files it under its Research menu.

Who can apply

The centre's page names three groups: aspiring entrepreneurs with ideas, early-stage startups seeking structured support, and innovators looking for mentorship and funding. It does not limit applications to the university's own students or to colleges affiliated with it, and it does not ask for a registered company. It also states no fee, no equity term, no selection panel and no deadline, so ask the centre about each before you plan around it.

What the centre says it offers

The page lists startup incubation with training and business model validation, mentorship from industry leaders and domain experts, help with pitch decks and introductions to potential investors, regular boot camps, seminars and networking events, and tie-ups with industry for hands-on exposure. It describes its support as running from idea validation to market entry. It does not run a grant or investment fund of its own, so the funding line means pitch preparation and investor introductions.

Facilities

The page lists co working spaces, computer labs, a media lab and meeting rooms. It does not give sizes, equipment or booking terms, so confirm what is available and where before you travel.

Partners and background

Under partnerships the page names the Industry Department of the Government of Bihar, Bihar Startup Fund, Zero Lab, TIE and CIMP-BIIF, without saying what each relationship involves. The university's MoU page lists an agreement dated 1 March 2024 with CIMP - Business Incubation & Innovation Foundation of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna. Its text speaks of helping set up an incubation centre at the university, so the centre was still being set up at that point. The centre also organised a Startup Outreach Programme with the Startup Cell of LNMI Patna on 1 February 2025.

What is not published

There is no list of past cohorts, no portfolio, no team page and no programme calendar. The page does not state any national or state recognition for the centre itself. The only application route is an idea submission form that needs a Google sign-in to open. For anything else, call the centre on +91 92410 27682.
