About BIG Foundation — Innovator route

The Innovator route is the BIG Foundation's way in for someone at BMSCE who has a proposal or a prototype and wants help turning it into a workable model. It is a campus route, aimed at the college's own students and faculty.

What you get

  • A screening and evaluation process that turns an idea into a feasible, workable model
  • Access to the CIIE Idea Lab's prototyping and electronics tools
  • Co-working space with high-speed internet and testing through networked labs
  • IPR and legal support, mentoring, and funding for projects that show promise

Who can apply

  • BMSCE innovators with a proposal or a prototype; CIIE frames this for learners from school to PhD level

How selection works: A screening committee reviews your application form. On approval you submit a plan to convert the proposal or prototype into a workable model, which an evaluation committee reviews. You then prepare an innovation term sheet and report and present them to the BIG Foundation Board, which assesses the presentation before you are inducted.

How to apply: Complete the BIG Foundation application form and, once shortlisted, work through the plan, term sheet and board presentation. The BIG Foundation is contacted through the innovation cell on campus.
