Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at MGU

IEDC is Kerala Startup Mission's scheme for students and academic staff in Kerala's educational institutions, and BIIC is the nodal centre for it at Mahatma Gandhi University. It was launched on campus on 1 December 2020, and BIIC's Director is the KSUM-IEDC nodal officer.

What it runs is activity, not admission: workshops, speaker sessions and competitions for students. The last year BIIC has published any IEDC activity is 2022, when the events included talks on validating a startup idea, skill development and personal branding, an IP awareness programme with the Patent Office in Chennai, an idea marathon with the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council, an induction programme and a technology familiarisation workshop with Kerala Startup Mission.

Who it is for: students and academic staff at Mahatma Gandhi University. It is a student innovation cell, not a route into incubation.

How to apply: there is nothing to apply to. BIIC's website has no IEDC page and the homepage link to one does not lead anywhere, so ask the centre directly whether the cell is still running activities.
