The program supports promising mobility and electrification technology companies in product development, prototyping, product testing, and manufacturing readiness in collaboration with Michigan-based firms. It emphasizes opportunities for startups, established firms, and disadvantaged businesses in distressed or rural communities, as well as companies relocating or expanding within Michigan. Eligibility requires applicants to be Michigan-based or commit to developing/manufacturing in Michigan, have a technology readiness level between 5-9, and be actively engaged in autonomous systems, critical mobility components, or electrification. The grant is service-based, with funds allocated based on a Statement of Work and deliverables, budgeted to advance milestones over a 9-month period.
