About Assam Startup Seed Fund
Where the ladder switches from grants to equity. The foundation invests directly, or co-invests alongside angels and venture funds, in exchange for equity or a convertible instrument.
What you get
- Seed investment from a government corpus, directly or alongside angels and venture funds
- Managed business services — legal and financial advisory, accounting and compliance, human resources, branding and marketing, digital and technology support, and market access facilitation
Who can apply
- Startups holding a MASI ID with a tested product and a need for growth capital
- The same policy conditions on entity type, age, turnover, Assam presence and innovation apply
A fifth of the overall fund is reserved for women, tribal and rural entrepreneurs, each defined in the policy. Shareholding the foundation acquires through seed funding or managed services is capped at four percent of issued and paid-up share capital on a fully diluted basis.
