MASI — My Assam Startup ID

MASI is a unique identification number issued to startups that register on the Assam Startup Portal and are approved under the state policy. Holding one puts you in the public directory of recognised startups and makes you eligible for the state's funding instruments. Applications are open continuously.

What you get

• State recognition as a startup, and a listing in the public directory that partners, mentors and investors browse
• Eligibility for the prototype development grant, the seed fund and the venture capital fund
• A login to the partner network, where you can request sessions with empanelled mentors and reach corporate partner benefits
• Access to patent and trademark support, and to trade fair and credit facilitation

Who can apply

• A private limited company, one person company, limited liability partnership or registered partnership firm
• Either recognised as a startup by DPIIT under Startup India, or meeting the policy's own conditions: incorporated no earlier than ten years before applying, and turnover under the policy ceiling in any preceding financial year
• Registered in Assam, or registered outside Assam and employing or committing to employ at least twenty-five percent of its total qualified workforce from Assam, excluding contractual employees
• Showing real innovation in the product, process or business model
• Not formed by splitting up, reconstruction, or as an extension of an existing business or family enterprise

How selection works: the foundation's team reviews every application before approving it.

How to apply: complete the online MASI application form, which you can save and return to. It covers entity profile, contact, authorised representative, leadership, business model, stage and funding, documents and self-declarations. First login uses your registered email as the ID and your MASI ID as the password, which you then change.
