About Prototype Development Grant
The second rung of the state's funding ladder. It covers the cost of materials and product testing on the way to a minimum viable product, with a higher ceiling for deep-tech startups because their development cycles run longer.

Who can apply
- Startups holding a MASI ID — the foundation states MASI is required for this window
- Otherwise the standard policy conditions: permitted entity type, incorporated no earlier than ten years ago, turnover under the policy ceiling, registered in Assam or employing at least twenty-five percent of qualified workforce from Assam, and demonstrable innovation
How selection works: the foundation reviews applications, and money is released in one tranche or several against milestones agreed before the sanction.
