About Common Research and Technology Development Hubs (CRTDHs)
CRTDHs are shared facilities, set up by host institutions near clusters of micro and small enterprises, so that small firms can do research and product development without buying their own equipment. A founder or MSE uses a hub; the hub's host institution is the one that applies to DSIR.
What you get
- As a small enterprise using a hub: shared research and technology development infrastructure, hands-on training, skill development and research information facilities.
- As a host institution: partial financial support from DSIR as grant-in-aid to establish a hub.
Who can apply
- The applicant host organisation should be a national laboratory, a public funded body, or an institution with a distinct legal entity.
- It should be able to set up the hub near a cluster of MSEs in the target sector.
- Sectors named for the first phase: electronic and renewable energy, affordable health, environmental interventions, low cost machining, and new materials and chemical process.
How to apply: host institutions follow the CRTDH Guidelines and Application Format on DSIR's page. No open call date is stated.
