About this Opportunity

The PRISM (Promoting Innovations in Individuals, Start-ups and MSMEs) scheme of DSIR aims to support individual innovators in translating their ideas into working prototypes/models/processes and to provide support for enterprise creation. It also supports institutions developing technology solutions for MSME clusters. The scheme operates in two phases and also has a component for R&D proposals.

Eligibility

PRISM Phase-I: Any Indian citizen with an innovative idea.
- Category-I: Proof of Concept/Prototypes/Models (support up to ₹2 lakh or 90% of project cost).
- Category-II: Fabrication of working model/process know-how/testing/patenting/technology transfer (support up to ₹20 lakh or 90% of project cost).
PRISM Phase-II (Enterprise Incubation): Successful PRISM innovators or those with successfully demonstrated proof of concept (support up to ₹50 lakh, limited to 50% of project cost).
PRISM-R&D Proposals: R&D institutes, autonomous institutions, public-funded laboratories, academic institutes for developing technology solutions for MSME clusters (support up to ₹50 lakh, limited to 50% of project cost).
