Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is a Government of India Maharatna enterprise and one of India's largest oil and gas companies, headquartered in Mumbai. Beyond its core energy business, HPCL actively supports the startup ecosystem through its HP Udgam initiative, which enables innovators and entrepreneurs to pursue ideas in green hydrogen, lithium-ion batteries, renewables including solar and wind, and sustainability and energy transition technologies.
HP Udgam supports startups from proof-of-concept validation through commercialization, providing funding, mentorship, and access to HPCL's operational infrastructure for testing and deployment. HPCL has also partnered with WISE (SNDT Women's University Incubation Centre) under HP Udgam to specifically foster innovation and support women-led startups. The company's broader CSR programs span education, healthcare, skill development, and community development across India.
