About Funding incentives under the Rajasthan Startup Policy
The state's funding incentives are written into the Rajasthan Startup Policy and are applied for from the iStart dashboard. There is no published call window; applications go to an evaluation committee. Note that iStart's own pages attribute the benefits to two different policy years, so check which version applies to you before you plan around a scheme.
What you get
- An ideation grant at pre-seed stage, with an additional amount where women founders hold more than half the equity
- A viability grant at seed stage, sized by QRate band
- At growth stage, a choice between the Scale Up Fund — debt that can convert to a grant, capped at a share of what you have already raised — and the Startup Equity Fund, where the state's alternative investment fund matches money raised in exchange for equity
- Boosters on top for employment generation, product-based startups, thrust sectors, and founders who are women, transgender, disabled, from SC-ST communities or rural areas
- Older policy benefits still published: a monthly sustenance allowance for a year at idea or prototype stage, seed funding, and marketing and commercialisation assistance at MVP stage as loan or convertible equity
Who can apply
- Startups registered and recognised under iStart
- Growth-stage startups must choose either the Scale Up Fund or the Startup Equity Fund, not both
- For marketing assistance, the startup must already have secured a quarter of its funding from a registered angel or venture fund or a reputed incubator
How selection works: the evaluation committee assesses the application and invites the startup to present its idea or project; the nodal institution then approves or rejects and disburses. The QRate band decides the slab.
How to apply: apply from your iStart dashboard once the startup is approved.
