About Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program for Mobility Startups
Run with NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore's startup incubator, this programme is for mobility and technology startups working on high-risk, disruptive ideas, anywhere from proof-of-concept to scale-up. Selected startups work on a live Maruti Suzuki use case, pitch it on Demo Day, and the winners get a funded pilot. Six cohorts have run, with the sixth in progress.
What you get
- A paid proof of concept with Maruti Suzuki for winning startups
- Access to Maruti Suzuki domain experts and business teams
- Mentoring, masterclasses, peer learning and networking through NSRCEL
- Investor connects and a needs assessment
- Guidance on regulations
- An international immersion opportunity
- Prizes, including Maruti Suzuki cars
Who can apply
- You must be recognised by DPIIT as a startup
- You must be a technology-based company
- Stage: proof-of-concept through to scale-up
- Solo founders are accepted, one idea per application
- Two people including the founder can attend the programme
How selection works: there is a call for applications, then screening with telephonic interviews, shortlisting for the cohort and an internal review by Maruti Suzuki vertical heads. NSRCEL mentors and Maruti Suzuki business teams evaluate together, and promising candidates pitch online to a joint panel. Selected startups are onboarded with a needs assessment, then mentored, then present at Pitch Day and Demo Day.
How to apply: fill the Incubation application form on the Maruti Suzuki Innovation site. The programme is free — it is fully sponsored by NSRCEL and Maruti Suzuki — and neither takes equity. Activities run both online and in person.
