A transformative initiative aimed at developing the next generation of business leaders in Africa through a one-month foundational training module and a five-month work placement.

The program equips talented young individuals with essential skills, experience, and mindset for success, focusing on high-performing individuals with an interest in business and entrepreneurship. The training includes strategic planning, financial analysis, operations management, leadership, and effective communication, blending classroom instruction with real-world case studies, simulations, and mentorship. Work placement is within fast-growing, high-impact businesses operating in Africa.

A 17-week program launched in 2021 by ShEquity and MBC Africa, providing technical and financial support to African female entrepreneurs in West Africa to prepare them for investment.

The program focuses on de-risking impactful, scalable businesses led by women. It includes masterclasses on financial management, go-to-market strategy, branding, marketing, governance, HR, leadership, and soft skills. Participants also receive market testing, coaching, mentoring, and networking opportunities. It targets businesses in agribusiness, climate-smart businesses, FMCG, healthcare, mobility/logistics, and tech-enabled sectors. Requirements include at least 51% women-owned, 40% women in leadership, full-time entrepreneur, legally registered in ECOWAS, and in operation for at least 24 months.

An intensive 12-month program designed to drive early-stage startups towards success, supported by the USAID-funded MSR Activity in Northern Ghana.

Participants benefit from personalized coaching, hands-on workshops covering essential business topics, and quarterly investor series to facilitate connections with potential funders. Requirements include being women or youth-owned, a full-time entrepreneur, and legally registered in the Zone of Influence (ZOI).

A four-month program designed to propel businesses toward their next stage of success, supported by the USAID-funded MSR Activity in Northern Ghana.

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

Participants receive personalized coaching sessions tailored to their specific challenges and goals, along with interactive workshops to help them stand out, attract customers, manage their finances, and scale operations. Requirements include a business duly registered in the Zone of Interest, operating in at least one of the sector focus and value chains targeted by the MSR Program, female or youth-owned and led, registered as a limited liability company, at least three years in operation, market traction demonstrating product-market fit validation, audited accounts for at least 2 years, an innovative, highly scalable, and impactful business, and a qualified and dedicated management team.

An 8-week coaching program designed to assist entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into viable businesses using the Lean Startup methodology.

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

The program provides 2-hour coaching sessions weekly for 8 weeks, covering target audience identification, hypothesis development, MVP creation, experiment design, data utilization for informed decisions, and building a strong foundation for scalable and sustainable growth. It includes support in business strategy, financial modelling for 3 to 5 years, governance setup (legal structure, board of advisory, basic internal policies), fundraising strategy, and transaction advisory (separate agreement). Requirements include payment in cash starting from GHS 15,000 or a minimum 7% equity stake in the startup (targeting a minimum value of GHS 215,000), and being a shareholder of Subiz Cooperative Credit Union.
