About Razorpay Rize
Razorpay Rize is Razorpay's startup programme for early-stage founders in India, launched in 2021. It brings together three free founder communities, a few dedicated programmes and a company registration service. Razorpay is based in Bengaluru, and the Rize pages carry its registered office there.
What Rize offers
Rize has three parts. The first is the communities, where founders get tool credits, Razorpay product offers, expert knowledge sessions, mentorship, networking events, a founder directory, a marketplace of deals and a resource vault with investor lists. The second is a set of programmes, Rize for YC and Rize Pitch Perfect, that founders can use even if they are not in a community. The third is Rize Incorporation, which helps founders register a Private Limited company, an LLP or a One Person Company through partner firms.
The three communities
Rize Tech+ is for early-stage tech and AI founders. Rize D2C+ is for founders in D2C, eCommerce and retail, from early to growth stage. Rize Xport+ is for founders who build in India and sell to customers around the world, across tech, SaaS, D2C and services. Membership is free. A founder cannot join more than one community: every application goes through a selection process, and the team places you in the one that suits your startup best.
Rize for YC
Rize for YC helps founders prepare an application to Y Combinator. It has an AI-powered application review, learning sessions with YC alumni, a library of sample applications and guides, and mock interviews with alumni. The page says there is no selection criterion for the reviews and sessions, and that the programme costs nothing. Mock interviews are for founders who have received a call from YC. The programme runs for each YC batch, and the dates on the page change, so check which batch is open before you plan around it. Rize lists many founders from its community who were later accepted into YC, though its pages give different counts.
Rize Pitch Perfect
Pitch Perfect is described as a programme for learning how to tell your story, build a strong deck and refine it for investors. Rize does not show a separate intake page for it, so ask through the Rize team before relying on it.
Company registration
Rize Incorporation is aimed at early-stage founders who want to register a company at low fees. It covers Private Limited companies, LLPs and One Person Companies, and the pages also cover other forms such as partnership firms, sole proprietorships, public limited companies and Section 8 companies, with city pages for Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata and Kanpur. Registration is done through dedicated partners. The site also offers free tools: a company-name and trademark search, a company-type finder, document guides, startup templates and an investor list.
Scale
The pages give different figures for the size of the community, so treat any single number with care. They describe more than a thousand founders, large numbers of company registrations, and mentor hours and founder stories shown on the community page.
Things to know
Rize is a corporate programme run by a payments company, not a grant or a fund. It does not hand out money. Its value is community, credits, mentorship and services. Founders who use Razorpay products get extra offers through the community.
