The Roddenberry Foundation is a US philanthropic institution inspired by the legacy of Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek. It describes its purpose as investing in creative minds and bold ideas for a more humane and abundant future. Its best-known funding line for founders is the Catalyst Fund, which has made small grants of to individuals and teams anywhere in the world with an early-stage, unconventional idea or project. The fund normally takes applications on a rolling basis through the foundation's application portal, but it is not accepting applications at present.
