About NIDHI Seed Support Program

This is the DST seed support scheme, run through the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, and it sits after incubation rather than before it. Seven supported startups are listed on the page. There is no apply button.

What you get

  • Seed support for product development, test marketing, testing and trials, professional services, day-to-day manpower and professional consultancy
  • Support for IP work
  • The same facilities as the other programmes: office, workshop, tech lab, mentors and the talent pool

The scheme will not fund personal assets, anything for the personal benefit of promoters, loans to promoters or repayment of existing loans.

Who can apply

  • Companies registered in India, preferably recognised by DPIIT or applied for it
  • Startups that have spent at least three months with the incubator, resident or virtual
  • Teams that can show a clear selling point validated with customers
  • Companies where Indian promoters hold at least fifty-one per cent, and which are not Indian subsidiaries of foreign companies

Preference goes to startups that have not already taken money from a Central or State government body.

How to apply: the page carries no form or application link. Ask at managertbi@spit.ac.in whether a round is open, and expect to be incubated first.
