About Startup India Seed Fund Scheme

SP-TBI is one of the incubators that disburses the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme. Applications are made on the national seed fund portal, where you choose your incubator, rather than through SP-TBI's own form.

What you get

  • Grant support to validate a proof of concept, develop a prototype or run product trials
  • Further support as convertible debentures or debt-linked instruments for market entry, commercialisation or scaling
  • The centre's facilities: office, workshop, tech lab, mentors, events and the talent pool

Who can apply

  • Startups recognised by DPIIT and incorporated no more than two years before applying
  • Businesses with technology at the core of the product, service, business model, distribution or method
  • Companies where Indian promoters hold at least fifty-one per cent
  • Startups that have not taken support above the scheme's ceiling from another Central or State scheme

Priority goes to work on social impact, waste and water management, financial inclusion, education, agriculture, food processing, biotechnology, healthcare, energy, mobility, defence, space, railways, oil and gas and textiles. A startup can receive this seed support only once.

How to apply: the apply button on the programme page opens the national Startup India seed fund portal, where you submit the application and select SP-TBI as your incubator.
