IdeaPhied

IdeaPhied is i-RISE's idea competition for students. The fourth edition launched on 23 January 2026, closed registration in the second week of February, ran mentoring workshops from 16 to 18 February and held its final round at IISER Mohali on 28 February 2026. It is between editions now.

What you get

• A place in a pre-incubation workshop.
• Prizes and certificates for winners.
• A route into incubation at the technology business incubator.
• Introductions across the startup ecosystem.

Who can apply

• Students at graduate, postgraduate, diploma, PhD or research-scholar level.
• Teams of at least two and at most four members.
• A pitch deck submitted by the published deadline. The page gives two slightly different closing dates, so submit by the earlier one.

How selection works: entries are judged on how original the idea is, whether it is feasible, how inventive it is, how clearly and relevantly it is pitched, and how seriously the team means to pursue entrepreneurship. Finalists get a three-minute slot, one minute to present and two for questions, with a limit of three slides.

How to apply: through the registration form on the programme page, with the deck uploaded as a pptx file.
