About Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)
i-RISE is one of the incubators through which the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme reaches founders, and "Apply For SISFS" sits in its main navigation. The scheme is meant to help startups prove a concept, build a prototype, run product trials, enter a market and commercialise.
What you get
- Grant support for validating a proof of concept, prototype development or product trials.
- Follow-on investment for market entry, commercialisation or scaling, through convertible debentures, debt or debt-linked instruments.
- Alongside the money: co-working space, access to laboratories, mentoring, networking, and IP and legal support.
Who can apply
- A startup recognised by DPIIT, incorporated not more than two years before it applies.
- The business idea must have a market fit, a viable route to commercialisation and room to scale.
- Technology must be at the core of the product, service, business model, distribution model or method.
- The startup must not already have taken more than a modest ceiling of monetary support under any other central or state government scheme.
- Indian promoters must hold at least 51 per cent of the shares at the time of application.
How to apply: through the Apply Now link on i-RISE's funding programme page.
