About TiE Academy
TiE Academy is a training course built by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, and the one thing on the chapter's site offered to people who are not members. It is between intakes: the only cohort the chapter has described, titled Start Your Venture, began on 9 November 2019 and ran at the Victor Menezes Convention Centre at IIT Bombay. Ask the chapter when the next one runs before planning around it.
What you get
- A syllabus led by TiE Charter Members and senior entrepreneurs, board members, academics and business consultants.
- A mix of teaching and application, with live case studies, group work and building a funding pitch for your own venture.
- A confidential capacity and willingness score for each participant, used to personalise mentoring and track progress.
- Focused training on sales development and execution.
- Office visits to venture funds and to large, fast-growing companies.
Who can apply
- Open to non-members. The chapter states no eligibility conditions, although the sign-up asks for your company name, website, how old the startup is, your sector and the problem you are solving, so it is aimed at people already building something.
How selection works: the chapter describes this as a sign-up rather than a selection, and publishes no assessment step.
How to apply: register through the form on the course page, or write to info@tiemumbai.org to ask about the next cohort. The chapter does not publish the course fee.
